Shipping & Delivery

When will my order ship?
Orders are processed within 3-7 business days for domestic ONLY IF THE ITEM IS IN STOCK. You’ll receive a shipping confirmation email with tracking details as soon as your pretty in place package is on its way.

Do you offer free shipping?
A flat rate of $5.95 applies on all orders.

Do you ship internationally?
We currently ship to Canada, the UK, and select countries in the Caribbean and Africa. International shipping rates are calculated at checkout. Please note that customs fees or import duties may apply depending on your country’s policies.

How long does delivery take?

  • Standard (U.S.): 4–7 business days

  • Express (U.S.): 3–7 business days

  • International: 10–21 business days depending on location

Returns & Exchanges

What’s your return policy?
We want you to feel completely confident in your Grip Scarf. If it’s not the right fit or color, you can return unworn, unwashed items in original packaging within 30 days of delivery for a full refund or store credit.

Do you offer free returns?
We offer free exchanges for a different color or style. For returns, we’ll provide a prepaid return label, and a flat $4.95 fee will be deducted from your refund to cover return shipping unless the item arrived damaged or incorrect.

How do I start a return or exchange?
Head over to our Returns Portal (link in the footer). Enter your order number and email address, and you’ll be guided through the process step by step.

I received a damaged or incorrect item. What should I do?
Please email us at admin@prettyinplace.shop with your order number and a photo of the issue. We’ll send a replacement right away and cover all shipping costs.

What materials are the Grip Scarves made of?
Our scarves come in three luxurious fabric options:

  • Silk: Pure, natural silk for the ultimate indulgent feel and drape.

Are the fabrics ethically sourced?
Yes, we partner with suppliers who prioritize fair labor practices and sustainable sourcing. Our fabrics are carefully chosen to be gentle on your skin and kind to the environment.

Will the grip band damage my hair or leave residue?
Not at all. The grip band is made from a soft, medical-grade silicone-velvet blend that’s gentle on all hair types and won’t snag, pull, or leave any sticky residue. It’s designed to be completely invisible while giving you a secure, comfortable hold.

How long does the grip last?
With proper care, the grip remains effective for 30+ washes and months of regular wear. We recommend hand washing and air drying to extend its life.

Will the Grip Scarf work on my hair type?
Yes, it’s designed to work beautifully across all hair types and textures, including 4C curls, locs, braids, relaxed hair, weaves, wigs, and even shaved or bald heads. The grip band adapts gently to whatever surface you need it to stay on.

Can I wear it as more than just a headwrap?
Absolutely. The Grip Scarf is versatile—wrap it as a turban, tie it as a neck scarf, style it as a headband, or even thread it through your belt loops as an accessory. The grip helps it stay exactly where you place it.

Is it satin-lined to protect my hair?
Our satin and silk options are naturally smooth and friction-free, helping to reduce frizz and breakage. For extra protection, we recommend using a satin cap or bonnet underneath if you’re wearing it overnight, though our satin scarves are gentle enough for direct contact.

What payment methods do you accept?
We accept all major credit and debit cards, PayPal, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Shop Pay—so you can check out quickly and securely.

Is my payment information safe?
Absolutely. Our store is Level 1 PCI compliant and uses SSL encryption to protect your data. We never store your full payment details on our servers.

Styling & Care

How do I tie the Grip Scarf?

How do I wash my Grip Scarf?

  • Hand wash in cold water with mild detergent.

  • Gently clean the grip band with your fingertips; avoid scrubbing.

  • Lay flat or hang to dry. Do not put it in the dryer.

  • Iron on low heat if needed, but avoid ironing directly over the grip band.

Will the colors fade?
Our dyes are colorfast, so colors stay vibrant wash after wash when cared for properly. Avoid harsh chemicals and extended sun exposure to keep your scarf looking fresh.

We are a Black woman-owned and operated brand based in Atlanta, Georgia. Our small but mighty team is made up of women who are passionate about celebrating culture, craftsmanship, and community.
